Pastor Chartrand is a Virginia native who moved to Bentonville with his wife Charissa and their four boys in July 2024. After eight years of pastoral training, including an internship in Colorado Springs, and seven years of serving at a ministry preparatory high school in Michigan, Ross is excited to lead a new church in the area. You'll find him enjoying great stories, staying active, working on his golf game, or exploring everything their new community has to offer.
Pastor Chartrand's education and training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (WLS) totaled three years of classroom instruction and one year of pastoral internship. The on-campus curriculum included working with the Bible in its original languages of Hebrew and Greek, learning the history of the Christian Church from Jesus' time through today, studying all biblical doctrines in a systematic way, and learning practical pastoral skills like preaching, teaching, and equipping believers to carry out the mission of the Church. The internship gave an opportunity to put that learning into practice under the guidance of an experienced supervising pastor. WLS is an accredited institution with a 150+ year history of producing well-rounded pastors who serve the national church body that supports Cornerstone Lutheran, the Wisconsin Lutheran Synod.

I'm originally from Tennessee and Emily grew up in Wisconsin, but we are thrilled to be here and to call South Carolina home. We're so excited to be a part of this community and to share the good news of Jesus here!
